Our Paint or Powder Coat on Galvanized finishes are the industries best.  We start by brush blasting to SSPC-SP9 also know as buff blasting all surfaces priior to coating.  From there they go into our outgassing process which bakes out any entrapped gasses or moisture that may have occured in the galvanized process. Once that portion of our process has been completed we hand tool clean and smooth all surfaces.  This reduces Galv. drops and roughness as best as we can.  It also ensures all the surfaces are freshly cleaned prior to our coating process.

Our coatings can be eith liquid paint or Powder coating.  In either case we apply a base primer epoxy or zinc epoxy followed by an intermediate epoxy primer then final coat is either a urethane if liquid or Super Durable if being done in powder coat.  We also offer Flouropolymer (Kynar) options in both Liquid or powder applications.

Surekote™ Systems  are a proprietary coating systems designed to deliver the best process and coatings for its particular application. The Surekote™ Systems are broken into three distinctive processes the first being Powder or Wet spray over steel, aluminum & Alloys. The second is a flouropolymer coating system utilizing a certified process required in the application of flouropolymers over steel, aluminum & Alloys. The third are coatings over Galvanized materials both Powder or Wet finishes.

These systems are not just made up of special proprietary coatings, but it also includes the application process that those coatings are to be applied. This is key and only a certified applicator who has been trained can provide these coatings to meet the processes requirements.

All Surekote-Galv™ Systems can be applied to AEES Specifications and AAMA 2603,2604 & 2605 requirements.

Surekote-Galv 6™ Systems is a 5 year system designed as a Premier application that substantially exceeds Colorgalv® or comparable systems available. This process is available in both Powder Coating or Wets Spray finish.

Surekote-Galv 10™ Systems is a 10 year system designed as a Premier application that substantially exceeds Colorgalv® or comparable systems available. This process is available in both Powder Coating or Wets Spray finish.

Surekote-Galv 12™ Systems is a 20 year system designed as a Premier application that substantially exceeds Colorgalv® or comparable systems available. This process is available in both Powder Coating or Wets Spray finish and exceeds AAMA 2603,2604 & 2605 requirements.

Though all our processes are Proprietary what we can share is the basics of how and what Surekote-Galv™ Systems are and what they do. This is a summary and does not list out all the details. We pride ourselves with 20yrs of History without a field failure and our competition cant say the same.  Hands down our coating systems are the best in the industry.

Step 1. We work directly with one of our Certified Galvanizers, We believe Galvanizers should do Galvanizing and the coatings should be left to the coating experts and professionals.

Step 2. The first part of our preperaration is to inspect all materials for defects in Galvanized finish such as black ash, heavy drips or any foreign materials that may be imbedded in the coating. We repair and clean the surfaces removing any dross and imperfections.

Step 3. All surfaces are buffed blasted to SSPC-SP-16 specification. There is an urban legend that is told by many that if you coat freshly Galvanizied material that you don't need to Buff Blast. This is untrue and not to  ASTM A653 / A653M Standards. The fact is as soon as Galvanize material cools off it begins to form a zinc oxide surface coating.  This coating begins as soon as the moisture from the air hits its surfaces.  The act of buff blasting not only removes this oxide but also creates an anchor patter for the primer coating to adhere to and is key to the performance of a Surekote-Galv™ Systems.

Step 4. Outgassing phase is where we heat up the material to a set temperature and time (Trade Secret) to release all the entrapped moisture and impurities from the Galvanize process.

Step 5. As soon as the material is Buff Blasted it moves quickly into our priming process were its coated in SureKote-Z™ Which is a proprietary Zinc Finish that is designed to be used in the SureKote™ Application Process. This coating alone will provide 5000 hrs of salt spray protection without a second coat.

Step 6. Once cured the parts are prepped as part of our proprietary process.

Step 7. In a Surekote-Galv 12™ Systems this is where an intermediate coating is applied. SureKote-Grip™ is a proprietary Intermediate Primer Finish that is designed to be used in the SureKote Application process over a first coat of zinc or epoxy and has a special property that helps interlock the primer coats to the final finish. This coating when added to a base primer provides in excess of 12000 hrs of salt spray protection without a final coat.

Step 8. In a Surekote-Galv 10™ system a final coat of SureKote-SD™ is a proprietary Super Durable Finish that is designed to be used in the SureKote™ Application Process over any of the SureKote primer systems. This coating when used in conduction with a SureKote Primer will provide anywhere from 12000 hrs to off the chart of salt spray protection and meets or exceeds AAMA 2603 & 2604 specifications.

Step 9..In a Surekote-Galv 12™ Systems a final coat of SureKote-Q is a proprietary system finish that is designed to be used in the SureKote™ Application Process over a SureKote primer systems. This coating when used in conduction with a SureKote Primer will provide anywhere from 12000 hrs to off the chart of salt spray protection. It Also Exceeds AAMA 2605 Requirements with outstanding UV protection.
